Necronomicon

First artwork for 2018! I designed this artwork as a cover of a lovecraftian comic. The main character is the Mad Arab, Abdul Alhazred, in his early years. The story takes place during the time Abdul was still researching and adding chapters to his work, the fabled Necronomicon. Guided by the servants of Cthulhu, he travels the world in pursuit of a way to awaken his master. Meanwhile, his terrible enemies, The King in Yellow and Pope Gregory IX, invest all of their power to capture Alhazred before his work is complete, each for his own reasons. Hunted by the agents of the Inquisition and the cultists of an Elder God, what hope is there for the Mad Arab, whose only ally are the voices in his head?
